Snowflakes

The snowflake above was captured using black yarn knitted into a small square. During post-processing, the background was replaced to remove the yarn fibers and reduce visual distraction. The photo below is the final result of stacking several images to bring the entire snowflake into sharp focus. The visible fibers resemble the fuzz you'd find on a well-worn mitten, offering a sense of scale for the snowflake itself
